News from 2003 Happy 25th Birthday - Pat - 30th December 2003 14:31 Trackers International celebrates its 25th birthday on 1st January 2004. 3000th Successful Reunion - Pat - 30th December 2003 14:31 On December 21st Trackers International conducted its 3000th successful search and reunion. Information Pack released - Mike - 26th November 2003 10:15 Our new Information Pack is now available from our Shop for only £7.99 including p&p. We currently have a selection of documentary films available from the Shop; in DVD, VHS or VideoCD format. A new 64-page Information Pack will also be added to our range of supporting materials in the next week or so. The co-founder, Karen W Buterbaugh, has offered their support. Another successful family reunion - Pat - 20thAugust 2003 17:55 Adam was searching for his natural mother and father. Born 7/11/1966. Adam lives in London with his wife, who saw the story about TI in Best Magazine and it all went from there. All the details were checked out and verified. I linked them on the telephone and Adam drove up to Berwick-on-Tweed this morning to meet his natural mother and father. Mark and Dorothy were 16 and 19 when Adam was born and taken from Dorothy. Mark wasn't even allowed to see his son. They married when Dorothy was 21. Adam is their only child. Families Reunited page has its first success! - Pat - 20thAugust 2003 17:55 'Natural Mothers searching for their Children' has had its first success. Margaret was searching for her son born 24/12/1960. He was searching the Internet for a website that could help him locate his mother, and spotted TI. He recognised his birth details and contacted me. I checked and confirmed his birth details then rang Margaret - floods of tears - and arranged an immediate phone link-up. They got back to me four hours later... He's flying to the UK on the first flight he can get from New Zealand! The coordinator founder and researcher, Dian Wellfare, has offered her support and had these kind words to say in her recent email. Logo Competition closing date extended - Pat - 17th July 2003 10:00 The closing date for the Logo Competition has been extended and will now end on September 30th 2003. Congratulations - Pat - 13th July 2003 17:45 Anthony Douglas, Chair of the London group of the Association of Directors of Social Services, has offfered his congratulations on Trackers International website. He has also given Pat Basquill permission to quote from his article, which was first published in 'Inform', the association's journal, then more recently in the Guardian. As part of our continued programme of improvements to the website, we have radically re-designed the site's 'back end' which will now mean shorter loading times for each page. Trackers poster available for download The poster advertising Trackers International - to display in libraries, medical centres, church notice boards and other public places - is ready and can be downloaded from here. If you explain that TI is a 'not for profit' organisation most people will agree to it being displayed. Click here for the poster in .GIF (55kb) or .JPG (60.1kb) formats.
